‘Rilla wants to be your valentine! The Dude has been a huge fan of gorillas lately. I have to chase him around the house – dragging my knuckles, making gorillla sounds, beating my chest, etc – at least once a day lately, so there had to be a gorilla on his Valentine’s Day card for his buddies and grandparents.

I’m pretty happy with the way that it turned out, but I’m definitely still partial to the one that my son and I collaborated on. he loves the Wacom tablet…

The dude digs rhinos, too. These are the birthday invitations that I designed for his big party. We used VistaPrint’s double-sided glossy postcard option – with all of the info on the other side – and mailed them out in matching envelopes.

We silk screened a herd of tiny elephants for my son recently. He got a cool birthday shirt for himself, and he gave some t-shirts and onesies to his buddies and cousins, too.

New wall art for my boy. He’s been completely fascinated lately by the fish illustration below, which I created for a wedding party t-shirt a while ago. He goes back and forth between staring at them wide-eyed and hollering at them excitedly… so we decided he needed a newer set for his own room.

Another one for baby’s room. I have it all sketched out on heavy paper too – ready for the acrylics – but I decided to do it up in Illustrator in the meantime. Hoping to get the time this weekend for a little painting. Until then…

Since his mom has been making super-cool pillows and curtains for him lately, I figured it was high time I added some fun color to the big man’s room as well. Still working out ideas for the rhyming storybook – stay tuned for images from that, as well as more alphabet additions…
